About Us.

The Wilmington Players were formed as part of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations in 1977.

We have been pleased to welcome some new faces following our recent productions and would be delighted to see more of you join us.

If treading the boards is not your style, there are a variety of tasks to be done both back stage and front of house. We also would welcome you along to our set building sessions which take place on Sunday afternoons as a production draws close to its opening night.

We meet on Tuesday evenings at 8pm in St Michael's Church Hall. We arrange social events throughout the year such as bookings at both amateur and professional theatres locally. We organise rambles, quizzes and a summer garden party. After each production we gather at a members house to enthuse or agonise over the performances with a fish and chip supper, then it's on to planning the next production.

We also team up with other local groups to assist in their shows and an annual pantomime.

If you are interested and would like to join us then please contact our Chairman, Stephen Johnson (07756 323010), or email us at wilmington-players@uk2.net. You would of course be welcome to come along and meet us any Tuesday evening.
